Get a taste of beekeeping, learn to waste less money, water and energy, make your own natural soaps and discover how other communities are becoming more sustainable.
The Hackney City Farm is running a series of workshops for local residents in which you will learn about steps you can take to reduce your energy, water and shopping costs while at the same time improving your health, well-being and community.
Over the course of six months you will join in monthly meetings at which you will meet other interested locals, hear from experts and develop plans to cut your energy costs.
As a participant in the Green Ambassador scheme, you will also be able to attend a range of environmental skills courses for free – ranging from solar electricity and hot water to urban gardening and herbal medicine.
Whether you want to cut your bills, take more control of your life, become less dependent on large distant companies or help save the planet, you are welcome to take part in the free project at the Hackney City Farm.
