Q. What is Time Banking?
Time Banking is a community based tool. It is based on the principal that everyone in the community has a skill or talent to offer and given the chance they would exchange their skill or talent for the skill or talent of someone else. Everyone’s time is valued equally and an hour of anyone’s time is equal to 1 time credit.
Q. What are “Time Credits”?
Time credits are our form of currency. You earn credits by helping someone else in the community with your particular skill or talent. For every hour you give to help someone you earn 1 Time Credit.
Q. What do I do with my credits?
First your “Time Broker” will set up an account and manage your account with credits & debits; just like your “Bank Manager”. You decide how you want to use the credits that you’ve earned. You can save them; for big purchases such as decorating or you can donate them to a friend or family member or use them for regular weekly exchanges. You decide!!
